If people ever wondered what it must be like to run dozens of open houses and the literally thousands of people that a realtor meets in a year, this story should satisfy your curiosity.  

A slight play on the movie title though the virgin in question was not 40 years old. This story was told to me through a realtor who didn't have time to write it down but desperately wanted me to post it (I will do this for any realtors who are willing to tell me stories, by the way, please email me to tom@thinktom.com, it would be my pleasure).

'She' was having an open house a few years back and got to chatting with someone who had seen the advertisement for her open in the newspaper. She took the person on as a client and started viewing houses.

As all good realtors do, she started to learn more about her client's life and needs and they enjoyed sharing a story or two over the coming weeks.

One day, the topic somehow got on to sex and the two started talking about losing their virginity back in the good ol' days.

As luck would have it, the woman attending the open house described what a wonderful experience it was and how great the male partner was etc...etc.... As the woman continued the story, the realtor began to realize that the description of the man was becoming terrifyingly more familiar as the story progressed.

Finally, the realtor had to ask the women of her first boyfriend's name just to convince herself that there is no way it could possibly be who she thought it was. To her horror, the realtor realized that this woman was, in fact, talking about her husband .

To answer the obvious question, no, 'the incident' had happened years before the the realtor and her husband had met but it certainly proves that it is a small world after all. It must have made for a very interesting dinner conversation that night in the realtor's home.
